About This Special Issue
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a rapidly developing field with great application potential in various fields. Two of these are energy technologies and power systems. With major industrialized nations around the world announcing policies to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, there is an urgent need for innovative and sustainable energy solutions. AI can be applied to optimize energy systems, reduce energy consumption, predict green energy output, improve grid reliability, efficiency, and increase grid resilience.
This special issue aims to provide a platform for researchers and practitioners to present their recent advancements in AI applications in energy technology and power systems. The intended focus of this issue is to explore the potential of AI in energy-related applications such as demand response, renewable energy integration, energy storage, and smart grid management. The goal is to advance the knowledge and understanding of AI and its applications in energy technology and power systems.
This special issue aims to bring together researchers, academicians, and industry personnel to share their knowledge, experiences and research on the application of AI in energy technology and power system. The specific focus of the issue will include but not limited to:
(1) AIbased optimization techniques for renewable energy systems.
(2) Fault diagnosis and prediction with the Smart Grid.
(3) AIbased energy demand forecasting.
(4) AIbased customized energy management system(EMS).
(5) AIbased charging management for Electric Vehicle.
(6) Big data analysis techniques for power system.
(7) Energy consumption: AI can be utilized for energy demand forecasting, building management, personal energy management, and electric vehicles charging management.
(8) AIenabled renewable energy integration for enhancing the reliability, stability and resilience of the power grid.
(9) AI for energy efficiency in any industrial processes.
This special issue intends to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest advancements in AI applications in energy technology and power systems. We invite original research papers, review articles, and case studies from researchers and practitioners working in academia, industry, and government agencies. The goal is to foster discussions, collaborations, and knowledge sharing on this important topic and provide valuable insights into the future of energy systems.
